RENOVATION TYPE: Multi-room home renovation including master bedroom, ensuite bathroom, stairs and hallway renovations.
LOCATION: Situated in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a charming town known for its picturesque vineyards, historic sites, and vibrant arts scene.
MAIN CHALLENGES: The clients wanted to transform the second level of their home. They felt their outdated stairway, master bedroom, and ensuite needed an update to suit their aesthetic and improve functionality. They contacted Eden Build to bring their vision to life. The project included a complete bathroom renovation, new hardwood flooring on the second floor, freshly painted walls, and a stairway makeover with custom carpet and a newly painted banister.

Before The Home Renovation
Scope of Work
Deconstruction:
- Removed the existing bathroom.
- Removed carpet and shoe molding throughout the second floor.
Master Bedroom and Ensuite:
- Installed a new double vanity with a quartz top.
- Added a new pocket door for the bathroom.
- Built a custom platform for the washer and dryer in the closet.
- Repaired drywall around the pocket door, tub, shower, and window.
- Painted the bathroom ceiling, walls, door, jamb, and trim.
- Tiled the shower surround, shower floor, bathroom floor, and baseboard.
Stairs and Flooring:
- Installed hardwood flooring throughout the second floor (except the bathroom).
- Redesigned the stairway with custom carpet and painted bannister.
Electrical Work:
- Installed pot lights and light fixture
- Conducted an ESA inspection for safety.
HVAC and Plumbing:
- Installed a new bathroom fan.
- Moved and installed the central vacuum at the new pocket door.
- Raised washer and dryer shutoff valves.
- Added a new floor drain in the laundry closet.
- Installed custom frameless shower glass.
- Installed new plumbing fixtures, including a freestanding tub, toilet, and vanity faucets.
Additional Upgrades:
- Installed baseboards and casings throughout the second floor as selected by the clients.
Project Completion:
- The project was efficiently completed with a focus on quality and meeting the homeowners’ budget and style preferences.
